Welcome — Start Using Your Trezor Hardware Wallet

This short guide helps you set up your Trezor securely and begin managing crypto safely. Follow each step carefully.

1. Unbox & Inspect

Open the package and confirm the tamper-evident seal is intact. Verify the device model and serial number match the paperwork. Only proceed if the packaging looks untampered.

2. Connect & Visit Trezor.io/start

Connect your Trezor to your computer with the included USB cable. Open a browser and go to Trezor.io/start. The official site will detect your device and guide you to the latest Trezor Suite or web app.

3. Install Trezor Suite

Download and install Trezor Suite (desktop or web version) from the official page. The Suite provides an interface for firmware updates, account setup, and transactions. Always download from the official site shown at the previous step.

4. Initialize Your Device

Follow on-screen prompts to create a new wallet. Choose a strong PIN and write down your recovery seed on the supplied recovery card. Store this seed offline and in multiple secure locations — it’s the only way to recover funds if the device is lost.

5. Firmware & Security Checks

Allow the device to update firmware if prompted. Confirm authenticity checks on the device screen and verify fingerprints or messages shown by Trezor Suite before proceeding.

6. Add Accounts & Receive Crypto

In Trezor Suite, add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported coins. Use the provided receiving addresses to transfer assets into your wallet. Always verify addresses on the hardware device screen before sending funds.
